Dolomites: luxurious mountains

The unawareness of how luxurious nature can be, the idea of atmospheric agents modelling natural territories, the assurance of an architectonically modelled environment, which shows it splendour in sunlight, and gently disappears at night time. The Dolomites were declared a World Natural Heritage on June 26th 2009 by UNESCO and made official, what many people had already thought of this immense rock complex.

The Dolomite rock was first studied by the French naturalist Déodat de Dolomieu. This is why the rock was named "Dolomia", from which the name Dolomites derives. The formation of the current aspect of this imposing mountain complex is based upon a transformation process which started about 250 million years ago and continues up to today! Weather influences have played the main role in the changing of the appearance of the Dolomites, and also in the progressive change of the rocks.

Numerous touristic villages in the Dolomites have become more and more popular during the course of the years. Enchanting artistic villages, clear alpine lakes, valleys and vast fields make up a landscape, which is unique all over the world with wonderful flora and fauna protected by the numerous Nature Parks in the Dolomites.

It is exactly in this territory with a maximum of natural luxury and prestige, where an elite tourism with a focus on environmental protection has developed. A luxury tourism which is accommodated in elegant hotel structures: The exclusive hotels in the Dolomites are beautiful constructions, ancient buildings and historic manors which underline the charm and design of the natural ambience to be explored.
